Midnight Cowboy

I am very much so enjoying this film so far. Its obviously very different then the films we have watched so far and I can even say different from many films I have seen at all. I like the idea of being sucked into the characters struggles through flashbacks and face to face combats that he goes through each day trying to survive in NYC. Its not an exaggerated film, i actually believe its one of the most realistic films based on his hardships of trying to pursue his odd dream of being a "male escort". Dustin Hoffman is also excellent in this film, and as annoying as his character may seem to people, he just adds the perfect amount of humor and bizarreness to the film that i believe will have deep meaning towards the end of this movie.

  1. I'm so glad you like the film so far. The end really sticks with you. I try not to get emotionally involved in the response to the films, but i only show the films that I love, so when anyone says that she hates any of the films I show, it does sting a bit. So, "yay."

  2. I completely agree, this movie is excellent and entertaining. I am enjoying the film, and find the cinematography to be unique. The way they show the sex scenes is almost comical and I am so confused as to where this film is going and how the story is going to end.

  3. You know I actually would agree about Rizzo's character that he is annoying, or at least was. I think he has definitely grown as an imoprtant character in a film. In the beggining I would be annoyed by his voice and movements, but as the story progresses, you see so much more of a human quality. I think the acting is particularly good. As stupid as this sounds but I didn't realize it was Dustin Hoffman until you said it. I knew he looked farmiliar... I think Rizzo becomes a much pities if not relatable character. He is trying to sruvive in a place that may havehurt him in many ways, and I think that shows through in the film. At this point I love his character, if not more than Joe Buck.
